More than a colorful church event, International Sunday reflected something central to the identity of Laikos Manhattan: people from different cultures and backgrounds coming together as one family in Christ.

One Church, Many Nations
Throughout the service, the sanctuary was filled with international flags, vibrant clothing, music, and joyful participation.
The celebration highlighted the diversity of the congregation while emphasizing a deeper unity rooted in faith. In a city as international as New York, that message is especially meaningful: people from many nations can worship, serve, and grow together in one church community.
A Biblical Picture of Global Unity
A reading from Acts 2:1–2, 4–6 provided a fitting biblical foundation for the day.
The passage describes Pentecost, when people from different places heard the message in their own languages. That moment in Scripture reflects the heart of International Sunday: the gospel crossing cultural and linguistic boundaries.
Worship, Culture, and the Next Generation
Music and worship played a major role in the celebration, with participants wearing colorful cultural attire and leading the congregation in praise.
The Young People’s Church (YPC) also took part in a special performance, giving children an active role in the service and helping them experience the global nature of the Christian faith.
